A Medical Agency respects the privacy of every client, family member, caregiver and visitor. This notice explains what we collect, why, and how it is protected. It applies to this website and to the care services we provide in Alberta.
Information we collect
Through this website we collect only what you choose to send us: your name, phone number, email, community, preferred language and the details you include in a message. In the course of providing care we also collect health and personal information necessary to deliver services authorized by Alberta Health Services and funded through Alberta Blue Cross, including assessment details, care plans and visit records.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your inquiry and arrange a call back in your preferred language
- To coordinate assessments, program enrolment and caregiver matching
- To deliver, document and bill care as required by the Client Directed Home Care program
- To recruit, screen and employ caregivers
- To meet our legal, insurance and regulatory obligations
How it is protected
Health information is handled in accordance with Alberta’s Health Information Act and personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act. Access is limited to staff who need it to provide or administer care. Records are stored securely and retained only as long as required by law and by the program.
Sharing
We share information with Alberta Health Services and Alberta Blue Cross as required to authorize, deliver and fund care, with our insurers when required, and with service providers who process it on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. We never sell personal information.
Website forms and analytics
Messages sent through this website are delivered to our care and recruiting inboxes by a third party form service. This site does not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, they will be configured to respect your browser’s privacy settings.
Your rights
You may ask to see the information we hold about you, request a correction, or withdraw consent where the law permits. Write to info@amedicalagency.com or call 888.733.0611. We aim to answer every request within thirty days.
